Constitutional Amendments - Religious Freedom
Grace, peace and love from God our
Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Please pray for us.
Ps 119:126 It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void
thy law.
Ps 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth
understanding unto the simple.
Ps 119:136 Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not
thy law.
Paul, the Apostle, speaking to the church in
Ephesus said,
Acts 20:26 – “Wherefore I take you to record this day, that
I am pure from the blood of all men. 27 For I have not
shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over
which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of
God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”
The attack upon Jesus Christ
and the Word of God has been steadily increasing with each passing day.
It seems that the day is approaching, and is already here, when we as
Christians, will be prohibited and prevented from declaring the full
counsel of God’s word in this state and this country.
Legislation is contemplated, pending, and
already passed, (see attached), to make it a crime or hate crime for
Christians from using all of God’s Word in and out of the church.
It is considered a crime, in some places, to call certain behavioral
actions a sin.
The threat of persecution for stating that
Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation is even discussed now in some
circles. John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the
truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Isa 6:8 “Also I heard the voice
of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then
said I, Here am I; send me.” Send Us!!?
I pray that Born
again, evangelical, fundamentalist, Bible believing, Spirit filled
Christians, will stand up, in love, in these last days, for Jesus
Christ our Lord and Savior and His Word. There may soon come a day when
we will be arrested for sharing the love of Christ and His precious
Word.
May our response be the same as
Esther’s to Mordecai, “and if I perish, I perish.”
God mercifully delivered Esther and the Jewish people, and I pray that
by the power of His Holy Spirit, He will give us victory.
1 Peter 4:14 “If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy
are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their
part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.”
Phil 3:10 “That I may know him, and the power of his
resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made
conformable unto his death;”.
After much prayer, we are
filing with the Attorney General and then to the electors, (voters),
two Constitutional Amendments and Initiative Statutes.
The Office of Legislative Counsel has entitled these
Amendments and Initiative Statutes “Religious
Freedom”. How appropriate? For what is at stake is
exactly that: Our religious freedom, to worship, praise, share and
teach about our great God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to rightly divide God’s holy
Word in this great country.
In brief the above amendments and
statutes state:
a) It shall not be a crime, hate crime, or otherwise unlawful for a
person to use the Bible’s content as an authority, to speak,
write, share one’s faith, etc., in any venue, or to communicate
any view against abortion, sin, anti-Semitism, other religions, etc. in
any communicative way, (speech, newspaper, TV, radio, internet, etc.),
or in any public or private gathering.
b) It also allows a person to use the Bible’s contents as
authority to freely communicate, speak, witness, pray, publish, etc.,
and to freely communicate at any public or private gatherings, any view
against sin, such as abortion, homosexuality, etc. in any public or
private gathering, or in certain other places and circumstances.
The legislative counsel’s office said I must be
specific in listing the items, which is why I listed various media,
communication, sins, etc.
The confirmation, of the
necessity of these amendments, from pastors and other Christians, has
been encouraging, to say the least.
One dear brother wrote: “Thank
you, Bro. I am impressed with the Thoroughness and breadth of your
wording. Would to God that this would be included in the Constitution.
When I think of the efforts to expel God from our culture it awes me
that God is so patient and longsuffering. Blessings to you Bro”.
Many people are grieved
in their spirit as they witness the erosion and abridging of our First
Amendment U.S. Constitutional rights of freedom of religion, speech, or
of the press, to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ and the full
counsel of God’s Word.
We are faced with the loss of our 14th
Amendment rights, which states: “nor shall any State deprive any
person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor
deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the
laws.”
May the Lord help to safe
guard us and these precious Constitutional liberties.
And may our prayer be the same prayer of
Nehemiah:
Neh 6:15-16 “So the wall was finished in the twenty and
fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.
16 And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard
thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they
were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this
work was wrought of our God.”
Please pray for God’s will, His
wisdom, His Holy Spirit to help and direct our every step. May all we
do, glorify our dear Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly
Father who in His great love gave, and sent His Son Jesus to die and
shed His blood for us and our sins and was raised bodily from the dead.
Phil 2:11 “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ
is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Perhaps, we have come to the kingdom
for such a time as this.
Est 4:13-14 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with
thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the
Jews.
14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall
there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place;
but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth
whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
